๐Ÿงช Project Objective:
Implementation of innovative polymer additive PROpolymer MA-CK as a replacement for Butonal NS198 latex, originally specified in the project, in order to:
  • Improve the quality and performance of Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA)
  • Extend pavement service life
  • Prevent binder drainage
  • Increase resistance to cracking and moisture penetration
๐Ÿ”ฌ Product Overview:
PROpolymer MA-CK is a complex polymer modifier containing long-fiber cellulose. It performs dual functions:
  • Enhances bitumen-to-aggregate adhesion
  • Prevents drainage and phase separation of the binder
  • Improves the physical and mechanical properties of the asphalt mixture
๐Ÿ“Š Project Results:
  • Approved by the Technical Council with participation from the Client, Contractor, and Design Institute
  • Tested by the National Center for Road Asset Quality:
  1. Test Protocols: No. 651, 652, 854, 538, 543
  2. Indicators for water saturation and residual porosity comply with ST RK 2373โ€“2019
  • Received a positive evaluation from KazdorNII (Kazakhstan Road Research Institute)
๐Ÿ“˜ Product Registration:
  • Added to the Unified Database of Road Construction Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan
  • Assigned Yellow Status โ€” approved for use on pilot sections up to 10 km in length
๐Ÿ“ Conclusion:
The product PROpolymer MA-CK proved to be an effective and promising alternative to imported analogues.
The project was initiated and successfully implemented by Kazkomservice LLP, with the involvement of contractors and state institutions.
